Pressure always on UNC's opponent

Every Carolina opponent has heard about the 1-3-1 half-court press, which the Tar Heels (33-1) began running last season. At 7 tonight, Maryland (32-4) will get its third look of the season in the NCAA semifinal game. The Heels' success in this system, which they only run after a made UNC basket, is helped by their athleticism, speed and constant pressure on the ball. When it works, opponents get flustered, which leads to more turnovers. (Raleigh News & Observer)
