Alessia Russo Honored as ACC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

North Carolina forward Alessia Russo was named ACC women’s soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday after spearheading a 5-1 victory over Louisville this past weekend. After the Tar Heels fell behind 1-0 early on, Russo converted a direct free kick and then added another goal minutes later to give UNC a lead they would continue to build throughout the match.
