Late TD Lifts Virginia Tech Past UNC

The Tar Heels led 19-14 with under seven minutes to play and had a 1st-and-goal at Virginia Tech’s one-yard line. Running back Michael Carter fumbled at the goal line and the Hokies recovered. Next came a mammoth drive that soaked up nearly six minutes and included four third down conversions, a 4th-and-9 conversion, and a last-minute touchdown for the win. (Inside Carolina)
