Larry Fedora is right. His Tar Heels are that close. The Virginia Tech game was one-sided on paper, with North Carolina rolling up 522 yards compared to the Hokies’ 375. UNC had the best defense on the field, giving up touchdown drives to begin and end the game. In between it was three lost fumbles and two missed field goals. VaTech had two TD passes but two interceptions.
