Hawks’ Vince Carter becomes second-oldest player to start an opener

Another NBA season, another milestone for Atlanta Hawks forward Vince Carter. Carter started for the Hawks at the power forward spot in their season opener against the New York Knicks, and in doing so, the 20-year veteran became the second-oldest player to start an opener in NBA history. According to Justin Kubatko of StatMuse, only Robert Parish tops Carter’s milestone.
