Kansas point guard Devon Dotson sees Bill Self as one of the toughest coaches he’s had, yet a different name came to mind when asked who the toughest coach he'd ever had was. “In high school, I had a coach named Jeff McInnis. He was tough on me too, so I'm used to it." McInnis, a former UNC point guard and 12-year NBA veteran, is the coach of Team Charlotte, Dotson’s former AAU team.
