Smith Center on Monday, No. 7 North Carolina already had built a double-digit lead against ’s Stanford squad en route to a 90-72 victory in its home opener. Heavy rains may have slowed fans’ journey to campus, but it had little affect on the Tar Heels, who built a 26-11 lead midway through the first half. (Inside Carolina)
