Dismal end a stunner for surprising Heels

The Tar Heels should have beaten George Mason by at least 10 points without any of last season's players turned pro. There was just no excuse for it. The 65-60 loss in the second-round of the NCAA Tournament will stand for years among the rank postseason showings in UNC history. In short, Carolina lost to a team that it should have put away before and after the Patriots' zone defense sent the Heels into a full-blown funk. (Raleigh News & Observer)
