No. 1 UNC Field Hockey Wins National Championship with 2-0 Win Over Maryland


The No. 1 North Carolina field hockey team completed a perfect season (23-0, 6-0 ACC) on Sunday afternoon in Louisville, Ky., with a 2-0 shutout over No. 2 Maryland in the 2018 National Championship. With goals from junior forward Megan DuVernois and freshman forward , the Tar Heels captured their first national title since 2009 and seventh in program history. (Daily Tar Heel)
