North Carolina is competitive and will give the Wolfpack a battle, but the matchups favor NC State. UNC's slipping pass defense plays into Ryan Finley’s hands, and the Pack can control the Carolina ground game and harass quarterback Nathan Elliott. Larry Fedora’s season — and perhaps his stint in Chapel Hill — likely will end with a loss. Prediction: NC State 31, UNC 20 (Athlon Sports)
