225 years of Tar Heels: Anson Dorrance

No college program has been able to keep up with what Anson Dorrance has built as head coach of the UNC women’s soccer team, which he founded in 1979. UNC’s 21 NCAA crowns are more than any other women’s NCAA sports program. Only four schools in the country have won as many as two titles. Its 22 national titles are more than any single sports program in ACC history. (UNC.edu)
