Mack Brown Hired As UNC's Next Football Coach

Mack Brown is returning to North Carolina and will take over as the program’s football coach, multiple sources close to the situation have confirmed to THI. Brown was the head coach at UNC from 1987-1997 compiling a record of 69-46-1. After starting out with a pair of 1-10 seasons, Brown led the program to a 67-25-1 mark over his final eight campaigns.
