It was in 1997 that Bubba Cunningham first met Mack Brown. The UNC athletic director, then Notre Dame’s associate AD for finance and facilities, made the trip to Chapel Hill to get a sneak at the yet-to-be-completed $48 million Kenan Football Center. In classic Mack Brown style, the Tar Heel coach sold the Fighting Irish officials on more than just the allure of a new facility. (Inside Carolina)
