That Air Jordan 11 became the first basketball shoe to incorporate patent leather. Crafted by legendary designer Tinker Hatfield, the Concord featured a collection of revolutionary innovations. “The best performance basketball shoe for the best player on earth — Michael Jordan,” reads an Eastbay catalog from 1995. On Nov. 10, 1995, the Concords released for $125 a pair.
