Report: Army DC Jay Bateman to Lead UNC's Defense

Mack Brown continued with his youth movement by hiring Jay Bateman to run his defense at North Carolina, according to multiple sources on Saturday. Bateman, whose Army defense held Navy to 208 total yards in the Knights' 17-10 win on Saturday, was named one of the five finalists earlier this week for the Broyles Award, which is given to the nation’s top assistant coach.
