Former Army defensive coordinator Jay Bateman comes to North Carolina as one of the more promising and innovative defensive minds in college football. When the news was announced on Sunday that Bateman would join head coach Mack Brown's staff in Chapel Hill, the hire earned praise and overwhelmingly positive reaction across the board.
