UNC RB Commit Elijah Burris rewrites history books, earns top offensive honor

Mountain Island Charter junior running back broke the Gaston County single-season rushing record with 2,832 yards to go with 34 touchdowns this season. Next season, he should rewrite the history books again by setting a new high mark for rushing yards. But for now, he’ll have to settle for being named the 2018 All-Gazette football Offensive Player of the Year. (Gaston Gazette)
