As a father and a coach, Duke Howell is very proud of, and excited for, his son Sam Howell's decision to sign with North Carolina to play quarterback under head coach Mack Brown and offensive coordinator Phil Longo, and for the opportunity that awaits him in Chapel Hill. "It goes past four years. It is a 40-year commitment when you go to Chapel Hill," the elder Howell explained.
