Luke Maye became the 29th Tar Heel with 700 or more career rebounds (704). He is one of just three Tar Heels ever (Ademola Okulaja, Jason Capel) with 1,000 points, 700 rebounds and 80 three-pointers. North Carolina held the Panthers without a field goal for 12:10 in the first half. UNC is 54-12 all-time in ACC openers, including 11-5 under coach Roy Williams.
