Perfect Storm for Defeat

The 21-point loss was the worst home loss in the Roy Williams era and the third-worst loss ever in the Smith Center. It was a poor effort all-around by the Tar Heels, who won comfortably at Pittsburgh and then beat a good N.C. State team 80-72 Tuesday. On Saturday, it was the perfect storm of miscues. Everything that could go bad did and it resulted in an ugly loss. (Inside Carolina)
