BC stops UNC, ends Tar Heels' win streak

Attacking inside with the skill of a diamond cutter and then holding on in a frenzied finish, Boston College won 85-82 in the semifinals at the Greensboro Coliseum in front of 23,745 that ended UNC's eight-game winning streak. The Tar Heels sliced a 14-point lead down to four with 3:25 left, but the Eagles came up with six critical plays in the final 2:51 to thwart every move Coach Roy Williams made.
