From the time he was taken by the Carolina Panthers with the No. 2-overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft, Julius Peppers was great. A home-grown talent from Bailey, North Carolina who achieved fame as a multi-sport athlete on the UNC Tar Heels, Peppers was great in his first go-round with the Panthers to the point of being named to the NFL's All-Decade Team of the 2000s.
