With 20 seconds left in the first half, Virginia Tech’s Kerry Blackshear scooped up a teammate’s errant shot and laid the ball in. His basket ended a 20-0 North Carolina run that stretched four minutes and 32 seconds. Freshman Coby White was upset. He wanted the half to end on that run. "I know they hadn't scored in a long time, and I just didn't want them to score." (Inside Carolina)
