Miller holds tight to hoop dreams

If you want a symbol of why North Carolina went 12-4 in the ACC this season and has defied all expectations entering this week's conference tournament, you can't do any better than Wes Miller. Miller, listed at 5-foot-11 but who admits he's 5-10, looks like a fourth-round draft choice at the YMCA. He's short. He's white. He's utterly unimposing. But Miller is North Carolina's best 3-point shooter, and he plays on-the-ball defense like a terrier, and he has started since midseason for what is now the nation's No. 10 team.
