UNC Softball Throws One-Hitter Over Boston College in ACC Home Opener

Junior pitcher Brittany Pickett led the North Carolina softball team to a 9-1 victory over Boston College on Friday afternoon in Chapel Hill, while allowing just one hit and tossing all five innings. It was the ACC home opener for the Tar Heels, who improved to 13-9 overall and 3-1 in conference play. For Pickett, it was her first career one-hitter. She struck out eight batters.
