While it took time for the Spartans to get rolling, the Greensboro Coliseum turned into a raucous setting for the NIT first-round game against Campbell. Coach Wes Miller's UNCG squad, considered the last team out of the NCAA Tournament two days earlier, poured it on the Camels for an 84-69 victory, ending the glorious career of Campbell guard Chris Clemons.
