David Noel sparks UNC's rout of Virginia, 99-54
Posted Mar 2, 2006
In keeping with Senior Night tradition, North Carolina walk-ons Thomas Wilkins and Will Robinson got their chance to start a game Wednesday night. Then the regulars came in and made sure their lesser-known teammates got plenty of court time at the finish. David Noel, the only regular senior starter, keyed an early spurt by scoring 19 of his career-high 26 points in the first half in leading the 13th-ranked Tar Heels to a 99-54 rout of Virginia at the Smith Center.
