The top-seeded Tar Heels overwhelmed 16th-seeded Iona in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Basketball Tournament, 88-73. UNC trailed at halftime 38-33 but would go on to outscore Iona 55-35 in the second half. Cameron Johnson scored 21 points and Nassir Little scored 19 points off the bench for North Carolina.
