Howell starts, Ruder shines at QB in UNC's spring game

Mack Brown does not want fans to read too much into how the quarterback reps were divided in UNC's spring game. Sam Howell took the first and the most snaps. The highly-touted freshman completed 10 of 16 passes for 131 yards and a 42-yard touchdown toss to Roscoe Johnson. But it was redshirt freshman Jace Ruder who put up the best numbers.
