By standing up, the outside linebackers in UNC defensive coordinator Jay Bateman's scheme can use their quickness more effectively against bigger offensive linemen. Having that advantage took some getting used to not only for Tomon Fox, but also Chris Collins and Jake Lawler, both former defensive linemen. That's not all they needed to become accustomed to.
