Vasco Evtimov Fulfills Promise to Dean Smith by Graduating 20 Years After Leaving UNC

Vasco Evtimov left the UNC basketball program in 1999 after receiving an offer to play professionally in Greece. Foregoing his final two seasons of eligibility, Evtimov promised his coach, Dean Smith, that he would return someday to obtain his degree. On Sunday, Evtimov fulfilled that promise and graduated from UNC with a degree in communications at the age of 41.
