It's been 22 years since Dean Smith coached a game for UNC. Only three players on the current basketball roster were born when the legendary coach was last on the sidelines. The UNC program has played more than twice as many games at the arena that bears his name than it did at Carmichael Auditorium. And yet it's still very much the Dean Smith era in Chapel Hill.
