R.J. Hampton is not the first American high school player to decide to play professional basketball overseas in the year before the NBA's draft age limit allows him to join the league. He is not the second. The first such prospect made his move 11 years ago, and many then declared Brandon Jennings would become a trend-setter. He wasn't.
