UNC baseball commitment Davidjohn Herz signs with Cubs

For Davidjohn Herz, the desire to become a professional baseball player was too strong to ignore. Drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the eighth round of the Major League Baseball draft, Herz signed a minor league contract to begin his professional career in Arizona. Herz, a North Carolina recruit, said signing a professional contract was "definitely a relief." (Fayetteville Observer)
