, the Marlins’ No. 18 prospect, became the third starting pitcher since 1995 to make his Major League debut against the team that drafted and signed him. He made sure the Cardinals felt his presence early. Gallen’s final line: One earned run allowed on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts in a no-decision. He threw 99 pitches with 61 strikes.
