In the last few years, Ed Davis became one of the most highly regarded backup centers in the NBA. Instead of focusing on what Ed Davis can’t do — score — we focus on what he can do — pretty much all of the other backup center things. Let’s start with defense, where he earned the second-highest number in ESPN’s Defensive Real Plus-Minus last year.
