In the summer of 1984, Michael Jordan led Team USA to a gold medal in the Olympics in Los Angeles. Fresh out of UNC, Jordan showed he belonged with the the pros during a series of pre-Olympic exhibition wins over a collection of NBA stars that included Magic Johnson, Isiah Thomas, Walter Davis, Alex English, and Larry Nance.
