Five From UNC Field Hockey Open Quest To Defend Pan Am Gold

Five Tar Heels will open play at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, Monday, hoping to lead the U.S. Women's Field Hockey National Team to a third consecutive gold medal and an Olympic berth. Erin Matson, a rising sophomore at UNC, joins North Carolina graduates Ashley Hoffman, Lauren Moyer, Caitlin Van Sickle, and Julia Young on the 16-player squad.
