UNC, which is among the bluest of college basketball blue bloods, only spent $159,501 on recruiting in 2018 (46th among schools examined), and that spending led to a top-15 recruiting class that featured 5-star recruits Nassir Little and Coby White. However, there are many examples of schools that spend significantly only to enroll underwhelming classes.
