True freshman quarterback Sam Howell exudes confidence. With a full beard and dropping coachspeak lines like a veteran, North Carolina's rookie signal-caller is aiming for the starting job. "That is what I came here to do, to be the starting quarterback," Howell said Tuesday. "It would mean a lot to be the guy to lead these guys against South Carolina."
