UNC Football Building Defensive Depth

The primary concern for UNC’s defense this offseason revolved around its depth behind a solid first line. Through 12 days of training camp, defensive coordinator Jay Bateman seems to be pleased with how his depth is building. “I think if our top 12 to 15 players are playing, I feel really good,” Bateman told reporters. "I think it's generating the next 15 to 22."
