Sam Howell Takes Center Stage in Charlotte

On Saturday, Sam Howell will become the first true freshman quarterback in UNC history to start a season opener when the Tar Heels kick off against South Carolina. Howell spent Sundays in his childhood watching the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium. His first college game will be played on that very field for his home state's flagship university.
