5. Sam Howell, North Carolina: North Carolina’s offense started slowly but improved in the second half once Howell found his rhythm. The true freshman led two scoring drives longer than 90 yards in the second half to lead the Tar Heels to an upset win over South Carolina. Howell finished with 245 passing yards and two touchdowns on 15 completions. (Athlon Sports)
