Tar Heels already defending new turf

Renovations for Kenan Stadium go on display Saturday when UNC plays its home opener against Miami. The most visible change might come with the field itself. A new synthetic turf has been installed. Senior associate athletics director Rick Steinbacher said the synthetic surface has countless benefits. “It always looks great. It’s always ready for recruiting.”
