UNC vs. Wake Forest Football Series History

Except for 1943, North Carolina and Wake Forest met every year in football from 1919 until 2004. Since 2004, the teams have played just five times and the Demon Deacons hold a 3-2 series advantage. The ACC expanded with the additions of Miami, Virginia Tech, and Boston College, and one of the scheduling casualties was the UNC-Wake Forest rivalry. (Tar Heel Blog)
