In a top-10 field hockey battle between conference rivals, No. 1 North Carolina beat No. 7 Louisville 4-1 Friday at Karen Shelton Stadium in the ACC opener for both teams (Highlights). The Tar Heels improved to 6-0 this fall, while the Cardinals fell to 6-1. UNC returns to action Sunday at Appalachian State to kick off a string of three straight road games.
