Scouting Report: App State

Appalachian State and North Carolina have met just once before on the football field. UNC opened the 1940 season with a 56-6 victory over App State. But the Mountaineers will visit Kenan Stadium in a game that many prognosticators see as fairly even. App is in its first year under Eliah Drinkwitz as head coach, but the program has been successful for a couple of decades. (Tar Heel Illustrated)
