Running back Josh Henderson and wide receiver Welton Spottsville saw their first action of the season as North Carolina had 55 players listed on the participation report. Both Eugene Asante and Emery Simmons saw action against the Tigers after not playing against Appalachian State. In all, 13 true freshmen appeared for the Tar Heels against Clemson.
