A look at UNC's history of shot blocking

UNC has a healthy list of former rim protectors who could change the game without scoring a point. Sam Perkins blocked 245 shots in 135 games in his college career. Perkins also blocked 60 or more shots in three of his four seasons as a Tar Heel. Brendan Haywood is a gold-star example of a player who can impact the game without attempting a shot.
