A goal and an assist from sophomore Erin Matson and goals from seniors Marissa Creatore and Megan DuVernois helped the top-ranked North Carolina field hockey team beat No. 17 Liberty 3-2 Sunday at Karen Shelton Stadium (Highlights). On a chilly afternoon at the close of UNC's fall break, Carolina improved to 14-0, while Liberty fell to 9-4.
